It was truly a pleasant stay. Breakfast offered fruit and eggs. The gardens were lovely here. Useful base for exploring Ascot👌
Courteous staff, had lovely stay!!!
Loved it. The family room had a large bed. What's more, free Wi Fi was good. Had buffet breakfast; moreover there was Pazzia Restaurant close by.
The bed was comfortable and location was BEAUTIFUL.
The location is very good and the Italian is nearby!
The bathtub is very good, but showering in it is not so practical.
Nice building. The hotel is located in a historic park with old trees.
When we booked this hotel, it was advertised that you could rent bikes. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were no bikes available for rent.
Top equipment, super breakfast and beautiful, modern and clean rooms at great price. Highly recommended!!!
The breakfast was good. Could have had more fresh fruit. The bed was good, but it would be good to change the plastic duvets to feather bedding.
No minibar in the room
Quiet and large rooms. Hotel is a beautiful property with beautiful gardens in a park-like complex. Nice bar. The night porter served us drinks although the bar was already closed.
Nothing to criticize :-)
The staff were polite and worked hard to ensure our stay was as good as it could be. The hotel itself was clean and the bedroom was a good size. The grounds were beautiful and although very large were very well kept. We will certainly go back again
I enjoy staying at the Royal Berkshire the staff are helpful and friendly. I have a lot of friends living in the area so the location is important to me. I also find it convenient for Ascot and access to the train station.
I find the plumbing and bathroom facilities clean but a little old
The Royal Berkshire is a beautiful hotel and is sat in its own surroundings. The hotel has just been taken over by a different hotel group, which did not help the issues we had. With the right guidence and training the staff have the potential to provide a very good service. I would not dismiss using the hotel again, I am just very disappointed as our weekend was a special one as we were celebrating our wedding anniversery.
Unfortunately, we had a bad experience, due to the fact that our booking had not been put onto the system threfore there was not a room available when we got there. They managed to sort a room out for one night, but on Saturday night they had to book us in a different hotel, which was not of the standard of the Royal Berkshire. This service by the restaurant was poor, and they ran out of dishes on the menu, which obviously upset some of the guests. We had to wait half an hour for a table in the restaurant as we were told there was not a room for us, even tthough we had booked a table for 8.30pm when we finally sorted our room out with the front of house manager.
Great hotel for Business Travellers. Near motorways, free spacious parking, good room with Internet and news paper, nice bar, great restaurant, friendly and helpfull staff. Food is excellent!
The Leisure area / swimmingpool should be completely rebuild or closed forever! (for now; just stay in the bar or take a walk in their beautiful garden!)
Great setting and old world feel to hotel. Very disappointed with our upgraded room for value for money though. Was it really a deluxe room??
Room was poor.
good country location and relaxing atmosphere
had to pass conference rooms with tables and other items in corridor to our room .We were not impressed !
Our visit clashed with a couple of wedding parties but despite being extremely busy service was excellect, staff were delightful
